Renaissance Florence is a visit to the roots of our modern ideas of beauty, harmony, justice. The Renaissance is the movement that started the diffusion of modern western culture throughout Europe and Florence is where it all began; come and see it with me.

An itinerary focusing on the artists who opened the Renaissance in Florence and on the masterpieces everything started from.

Who is the “Renaissance Florence” tour recommended for?

Both groups and individuals, particularly recommended to those coming to Florence in order to appreciate how the Renaissance started.

Length of this tour:

3 or 6 hours depending on your choice (please,  see below).

Where:

Inside the city centre: everything is within waling distance.

What happens:

  • 3-hour tour: The itinerary starts from San Giovanni Square, right in front of the Baptistery’s North Door. We leave at the discovery of Brunelleschi’s sites beginning with his famous dome and visiting the Opera Museum. We will go on towards the city centre north: Santissima Annunziata and San Marco Squares, the Medici Palace and San Lorenzo Square with its church.
  • 6-hour tour: We add to the 3-hour tour a visit to Santa Maria Novella and Santo Spirito churches. Otherwise we can focus on sculptures, visiting the Bargello Museum.
